THE RUNDOWN An unofficial launch party for Creative Arts Collective featuring Nick Saxon, Bobby Alu & Sarah Howells. Blessed by the weather lords, we were able to enjoy McLaren Vale cider in the sun at Russell's Pizza place for a classic Sunday session.
LEMON One of our team members copped grapes to the face thanks to a group of cheeky kids. Not one word of a lie. Lucky they were cuties.
ORANGE For all those that have attended an Alice Fraser production before, you know that it's always an amazing time. Her ability to dig out the best little venues around the state is phenomenal and is a nice change from the typical bar/pub setting.
It was great to see Nick and Bobby joining each other numerous times through the day to jam together too, setting a great vibe for Sarah to continue with on the decks.
During our interviews, there was much praise from all three artist on the success of the event with Saxon speaking highly of Alice Fraser. According to him we could do with more people just like her, the ones that are getting things done. We agree.
That wasn't all the local loving from the artist either with Howells picking The Timbers as her favourite SA act. Tim Bennett was tipped as an artist to watch by Alu, recently releasing his debut solo EP 'Crystal Waters'
"He's an amazing bass player, next level stuff".
