Give us the rundown on Crackle & Pop Records.
We are only 5 months old, one of our goals is to offer an alternative source of music Retail. We are passionate about music, vinyl and making sure we have a great range of stock that covers all tastes. We don't mind if you like chet faker or Taylor Swift we just want to give people the opportunity to buy quality vinyl and music products at a fair price. We love teaming up with local, like minded businesses around south Australia who are just as passionate about what they offer as we are about music. We love trying to find hard to get gear for our customers and we love the fact you can't just hit a button and skip tracks on vinyl.
Will CPR ever have a permanent address, or are you keen to keep it as a pop-up?
Its hard to say because when we set C&P up one of our goals was to "bring the music to the people". We love teaming up with great, like minded brands such and bar9, DEVOUR, the Wheatsheaf with lots more in the works. If and when we eventually have a bricks and mortar store 'POP-UPS' will still be a big part of our brand.
What have been the most popular genres/bands Adelaide vinyl collectors are buying/searching for?
The really pleasing thing is that aussie music like the Preatures, Chet Faker our our biggest sellers. Because we stock everything from James Taylor to Wu tang we find we have a very diverse customer base which is awesome.
Would you recommend local bands consider getting their EP/LPs pressed to vinyl?
I'd love to see local bands get vinyl releases, it's still a reasonably expensive exercise which makes it hard. We'd love to see some local artists get released on the C&P label down the track.... Watch this space.
You can only play 3 records for the rest of your life, what are they?
Pink Floyd - Darkside City & Colour - Bring me your love Foo Fighters - colour & the shape

Any records from Adelaide bands that you are digging?
Anything from cal Williams Jr, the hurricanes, the timbers, shaolin afronauts, the profiteers, blue print... The list goes on. Ps waiting for a new Funkoars to drop!
Is there anything else within the Adelaide music ‘scene’ you are involved in?
Not yet... Yet being the key word.
Who locally do you suggest we should be listening to?
I would jump on the music SA website, click on the artists page and just discover something/someone you never knew was out there.
Where can we find you next?
Best bet is to connect to our socials to track where we are heading!
