Adelaide reggae-rockers Chiara La Woo unveil their slow-burning debut single ‘Keep Your Feet’.
Chiara La Woo (chee-ah-rah-lah-wooo) is best described as a ramshackle four-piece blending indie rock, funk and reggae styles somewhat existing in the Sticky Fingers/Bootleg Rascal realm. They may be fresh on the local scene but have already shared the stage with the likes of World Champion (Syd), and Adelaide favourites Flamingo and Zen Panda.
Glen Shepherd, Tom Redden, Waylen Ramsey and Jack Redden, the country boys behind the fancy name, only began crafting their sound six months ago - and ‘Keep Your Feet’ is the first taste. Tracked at Capital Sounds Studios, the single adopts blunt rhythm guitar and a narrative style centered on nightlife, its characters and allures. ‘As one of our slower songs, it gently soothes your ear holes even though the subject matter might be a bit heckers’ says Shepherd (vocals/bass).
Keep your ear holes out for a string of releases and shows to come from the Woo boys this year.
