A huge part of what we aim to do through Yewth, and the reason I love it, is to not only share the best talent from Adelaide, but the people that run the collectives and events that give artists an opportunity. The behind-the-scene magic makers such as Futuresounds Adelaide.
Pat Lang and Tom Gaffney created Futuresounds Adelaide in the hope to draw emerging electronic artist from across the board, to get out of their bedrooms, work on their live performances and share their music in a new environment. They have successfully done so and have produced an important starting point for many local acts through the likes of their one day festivals and Sidechain events.
With this ethos, Yewth couldn't have been more thrilled to team up with them and Fresh 92.7 to bring you Electro Live, an event as part of Umbrella Winter City Sounds. We ventured into the home studios of Mío, Hummingbird, Zeequil and Luke Carlino to talk about their creative processes, and electronic music stepping out from the bedroom.
