Over the last month, Adelaide’s trams became a venue for local musicians for what is aptly named The Tram Sessions. Originating in Melbourne, The Tram Sessions were brought to Adelaide for Umbrella Winter City Sounds Festival by master of The Porch Sessions, Sharni Honor.
Sharni and her team of Morgan Sette (photos), Lewis Brideson (video) and a wealth of local artists crammed onto the trams in the CBD. It was a series full of smiles, blocked doorways, tumbles, laughter, banter, stops purposely missed and of course sing-a-longs. As one commuting punter bluntly put it: ‘without the music, it’s all just a bit awkward, hey?’
