‘Suicide Machine’ is the new single from local Adelaide act Sleepy Lizard.
The brainchild of Bill Meegan (former lead singer and guitarist of Console Warriors), Sleepy Lizard blend disco vibes with indie rock sensibility and lo-fi pop hooks. ‘Suicide Machine’ explores this territory through piano licks, scratchy guitar and falsetto vocals before rolling into an all-consuming synth line in the short track’s finale.
"Its just supposed to sound like the ramblings of an insane person, which I guess I feel like sometimes," says Meegan, who also mixed and mastered the track. "I think the track sounds like the Bee Gees meets gangsta rap."
Keep an ear out for Sleepy Lizard's debut full length album, set for release in early 2017.
