FIRST LISTEN: Horror My Friend release 'DIYS'

Words by Courtney Duka

After announcing a national tour this week with fellow South Australians, SIAMESE, we here at Yewth are stoked to be giving you the first listen of Horror My Friend's latest single, 'DIYS'.

"'DIYS' stands for Drowning In Your Sea, but we thought it sounded too emo"

'DIYS' is the trio's first single since their acclaimed debut album Stay In, Do Nothing hit stands courtesy of Poison City Records almost exactly one year ago.

Despite moulding into recognisable sounds of brash-meets-catchy from the debut record - what we've come to love from the trio - the song kicks off with vocals that pique interest, and build an intrigue for what's to come from the band in 2017.

Along-side an 18+ show in the band's hometown, you can also expect an all ages gig at local stomping ground, the Exeter Hotel, for a beer garden afternoon gig.

'DIYS' is available through Poison City Records from Jan 20th. Catch Horror My Friend on their national headline tour, and supporting White Lung throughout February on these dates:
