Five piece rock 'n' roll outfit Ron The Ox have just dropped their latest single, 'No Hoper'.

"'No Hoper' is about reaching those points in your life where you're in a state of fluctuating feelings about where you are at presently, and where you want to be in the future," the band says.

"One day you're flying, life's great, then the next you just want to scrunch it all up and throw it in the wheelie bin, and head off in a new direction," they said.

No Hoper was Recorded across two studios, Jimmy Balderston's Capital Sound and Matt Hills' Hillside Studios. Mixed by Matt Hills and mastered by Andrew Edgson (301 Studios).

"[It] aims to chunk up the Ron the Ox sound, being a our first single as a five-piece, with the addition of Kris to the band. We felt the music needed to work to the topic of the lyrics, pull no punches, and keep it quite honest" the band says.

Built on the songwriting of cousins Lee (lead singer and rythm guitar) and Tom Kennedy (Bass & backing vocals), with musical support from Anthony Carbone (lead guitar) , Connor Jolly (drums) and Kris Jaw-Moss (Guitar), the band's tracks are "raw and poignant in nature, but dressed up and ready for a good time".

Formed in late-2015, Ron The Ox have been lucky enough to support fellow Unearthed highlights such as Tiny Little Houses, The Belligerents, Good Boy, Bad Pony and High Tails.

'No Hoper' is streaming now. You can catch Ron The Ox supported by Burnside Mums for their 'No Hoper' single launch at Rhino Room's Ratbags on July 14.
