SA is set for a massive week of music awards, conferences, festivals and parties happening all over the city.

ICYMI: AIR Awards nominations revealed and coming to Adelaide

Australia’s biggest night for Independent music is going down at Queen’s Theatre with nominees for ‘Best Independent Label’ including Barely Dressed Records, Elefant Traks, UNFD, Jazzhead, I OH YOU and Pieater. The 2017 AIR Awards will see performances from A.B. Original, Ngaiire, Henry Wagons, Russell Morris and Elizabeth Rose.

While the official awards event isn’t open to the public, there are plenty of after parties happening around town open to everyone.  Check out the events below for a chance to see some dope acts while rubbing shoulders with some of Australia’s best muso industry heads:

Australia’s UNESCO City of Music is living up to its name with Indie-Con Australia following the AIR Awards the next day. Think of it as a Comic-Con, but for independent music industry nerds – if this sounds like you get down to Tandanya July 27/28. The two-day summit will be a schmooze-fest and opportunity to network, attend workshops and panels.

But wait, there’s more… After the conference is Scouted – featuring 15 bands over 5 stages in the east end of Adelaide, this is a chance to discover SA’s cream of the unsigned crop. We might be biased here, but we definitely think you should buy a tikko and check out the YEWTH Stage featuring Heaps Good Friends, MANE & DyspOra.
